As a trauma survivor, I have personally seen and experienced the transformational effects that receiving mental health support from a trusted professional can provide. I have previously attended psychotherapy with an EMDR trained therapist, which moved me to the next phase of healing that many years of traditional talk therapy had not been able to achieve.
After much of my own healing from trauma had taken place, I was motivated to become a therapist myself. I understand the hopelessness that can come from living with pain from the past, and I also know that healing from trauma is not only possible but also empowering.
Talking to someone who understands, from both professional and personal experience, can provide you with unique insights and tools for your healing and growth. Therapy, particularly when it comes to trauma treatment, takes time, but it is time well spent. It brings real relief and the opportunity for meaningful change.
When you are properly supported, therapy can help you feel both empowered and safe enough to be vulnerable with your loved ones. It can be challenging when you’ve lived with pain for a long time, but your strength and softness can coexist and even complement each other. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore your feelings, find clarity, and gain confidence.
